Missions

Missions—both local to worldwide—is a fundamental concern at New Life. Through Hands of Love, we follow God's heart in being a blessing to the world. We believe that the church has both a physical and spiritual responsibility to all of God's creation. On the spiritual side, Jesus has given us authority to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19, NIV).

On the physical side, God has always been concerned that people have the basics of life such as food, water, and shelter. This responsibility is expressed well in James 1:18: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world" (NIV).

To be effective in our mission, we have chosen to focus our attention on three areas of the world: Canada, Haiti, and Ukraine (extending through central Asia). To see what in the world we are doing, click the appropriate flag below.
